Before you start, if any students are repeating the course and need their progress reset, contact your administrator. They will need to create a Progress Reset class for them.
If not, follow the steps below to create a class:
1. On your dashboard, choose + Create class
2. Enter class details (name, start and end date). Select My private teaching or the name of your school from the drop-down menu if you have already joined a school account. Then choose Next
Please note: Once a class is created in a school, it belongs to that school’s account and can’t be moved later. For more information, please read: I’ve created classes as an independent teacher and then joined a school. Will my classes be linked to the school?
3. To add learning materials, choose +Add material. You can also create classes without materials, by selecting Add later
4. If you want to add materials, use the search bar to find specific titles or browse through all the materials available on Cambridge One. Select the title(s) you want to use in your class and choose Add to class
Tip: Double-check the course name carefully before selecting it, as there may be more than one version available. For example, Evolve Digital Level 1 or Evolve Level 1, or Guess What! American English Level 3 or Guess What! British English Level 3.
5. Select Finish
6. Choose Go to dashboard. Your new class will be shown with its unique class key. Share this key with students so they can join your class. You can also invite adult students by email.
Tip: You can edit materials later. If you can’t find the materials you want, read: Why can’t I find the materials that I want to add to my class?
